Turn Ya Ear Buds Up...

So I'm sticking to my normal routine. Wake up, wash up, boot up....in that order lol. While I'm on facebook my homegirl Dj Desirez hit me up. Wanting me to take a listen to this new artist Skye. Now Desirez always has the "one up" on the hot tracks so I was interested on that fact alone.

I must say I was NOT prepared for what I heard. It was refreshing and real R & B but you could tell he added his own flava to it. It wasn't overpowering. Personally, its just what the game needs right now. The new single "Brochures" has depth and is very well written. But the singin (correction the boy sangs lol) Baaaaaaby *in my old lady that still think she hot voice* is hot to death. I'm gonna need Desirez to put me on for my mp3 player (hint hint).

Its very obvious that some of the best writers and producers in the game have worked with him like Jimi Kendrix (Jay-Z, Ashanti), The Heavyweights (Ne-Yo, Rihanna) and Onree Gill (Alicia Keys, John Mayer). If the legendary James Brown had him singing background at the 2002 MTV Awards then you know he's something special. Now if this self-proclaimed "hip-hop junkie" is telling you that this is music, not just words to a melody, then you definitely need to hit up the links provided to get to know more about this artist.

His music is sincere, passionate, and "feel good". This and his awesome brand of R & B is gonna be FABULOUS!!

You know your girl wouldn't steer you wrong. So...LISTEN to the music. Enter Skye's world and you won't want to leave.

Long...Hot...Summer

Hello Beautiful People...

How goes it? Things are going great right now for me. I'm probably the ONLY person on the planet that is enjoying this weather right now. But then, my name IS Phoenix, and I am from the Dirty South so I guess I'm in my element right? LOL

Anyhoo, if you missed my interview with Rain the Quiet Storm then I'm SOOO upset you with you right now. She was beautiful and humble even in the heat. Two articulate women having candid conversation about everything from music to men. I dare say it was epic but I think she and I strive to change the game every time we come out the gate so topping that experience is sure to manifest.

Speaking of the interview s/o to D. Controversy Way of Atlas Mag for allowing me to do what I do. It was the inaugural episode of the Fab Lane Diaries on camera. He trusted me to hold him down and I think I did him proud :) I got to get my "gangsta diva" on to in the same day when I interviewed Yung Country of Dolo Hustle Ent and SGM. We really got into the thick of this music game. Make sure you check out his mixtape "What Dey Talkin Bout" comin to a CD/mp3 player near you this month.

After everything was said and done the chemistry and mutual respect was so apparent that we kicked it...HARD. I think we even invented our own gang sign drinkin at the Winking Lizard. Yo "two down" {insider} Hit the strip club... showed the orchestrator of the entire event some "love" lmao. That damn chick "Thunder" at the Million Dollar Club was gettin it.

So now what....

Well, I've been very busy but what else is new. I created a site just the other night for networking for our established women in any field. If women stuck together like men do Beyonce's goofy song would actually hold some merit. Its a slow process getting off the ground but you're welcomed to request an invite at http://www.certifiedofficial.ning.com and become a part of the solution!

Then of course there is OHHA's (Ohio Hip Hop Awards). This year its being held in Columbus and the ceremony is September 24th. Gettin ready to put my paper work in at the J.O.B so I can have that weekend off. Gotta be in the building for the Ceremony this year, VIP status, last year myself, Mz Brownie, Mz Toni, Model J Couture, and a couple other Divas had VIP on lock.

Speakin of Divas...going hard... and the like... Ya girl is goin to celebrate her birthday THIS YEAR in Cancun, Mexico. You know I'm excited and how more fabulous can I be than to celebrate my birthday on a beautiful white sand beach, sipping strawberry flavored tequila, in another country?

Last year I was in HOTLanta with my sisters and Camera Shy Exclusive Stablemate Ms. Queen. Spent our time at a couple celeb parties (can't remember dudes name that plays for the Mavericks) and I went hard as usual.

I think thats it... make sure you keep your ear to the street and your eyes on me... cuz I'm what the people want!!!

I've Been Busy...

Whats up my beautiful people... thank you for dropping in.

I have so much goin on right now that my Lane is indeed Fabulous. About three weeks ago I finished up my shoot for RMG Clothing Line. Special shout out to Jonathan for the impromptu "girl next door" theme. Big Hugs to Jody Daniels for choosing me to represent.

I've also been appointed the new Creative Liaison for Atlas Magazine.

Atlas Magazine is all the things hip-hop and fashion in Cleveland so you know that was right up my alley. To make the position even better my first interviews will be with Cleveland Female Rap Sensation RAIN THE QUIET STORM and the Ultimate "Street Cred" Group SGM Gang.

RAIN has recently joined the Brooklyn Zu, Zu Bulliez in May 2011. Inducted by Buddha Monk and Dungeion Master. Her features include Kevlarr7's new single on his album to be released in August; Bronze Nazerth's album "School for the Blind"; Trillian's new mix tape to feature Zu Bulliez being released in Servia; Tony Tone's new production CD to be released from Germany; Juday Priest's new album "Valley of Kings" and a few more hot joints.

You know I've been talkin about my homies SGM Gang foreva and if you aren't hip the the Club Banger "Ball With The Team" and "Swaggtastic" then I don't know where you've been. They're live stage show has mad energy (Ladies the "six packs" are on point lol) and the homie Yung Country kills with "Flexxin" every time.

It goes down on camera Saturday July 9th, 2011. This is my first "live" person to person video segment. Meaning I've never done my interviews on camera but I'm sure my experience as the host for Fab Lane Diaries will help me bring you something hot. The founder of the Mag D. "Controversy" Way has put his faith in me to bring you a quality product and the Bombshell plans to deliver #truestory

Before I let you go I wanna give a shout out...naw scratch that... a hug. A real, sincere, hug to my squad from Camera Shy Exclusive. We recently celebrated our two year anniversary. They tolerate my drive for perfection, my temper tantrum, and my brainy ideas to show them in the best light. I love them for that. Tonight... Drinks... Tomorrow Drinks... Just to say thank you.

As always you can follow me on twitter http://www.twitter.com/nativebombshell or on Atlas Magazines new twitter page http://www.twitter.com/theatlasmag

Ok yall I'm in traffic. If you wanna toast with my team we'll be at the Blue Rock tonight on E 9th and Rockwell. I should be in the building about 9:30pm. Tomorrow night we're at the Bodega...

Holla at the Diva!

Summer Kick-Off... Lets Go!

From whats been goin on with your girl lately I can all ready tell its gonna bee a long HOT Summer! I'm ready for it too, pedicure, stilettos sandals and my "hata blocka's" (stunna shades for those that can't keep up with me lol) on deck!

My first destination to get me in the right frame of mind? The 2011 Cleveland Hip Hop Music Festival at the Agora. Now you know I'm a hip-hop junkie from way back and I'm an avid supporter of Cleveland's music scene. But its some names on this ticket that can hold their own headlining or not and I will be in the building to soak it up.

The homies SGM Gang are rockin at this event so if you missed them showin out at Peabody's then here's your chance to redeem yourself. I saw the video footage (I had another engagement so I get a pass lol) and they killed it. If you weren't there you missed one hell of a show.

So when you doin your cookout and visiting planning for Memorial Day Weekend make sure you add to your I-Phone and Android Calendar May 28th, The Agora, 4pm! I'm always at the hot spot so if I'm gonna be in the building then you KNOW its a must you are too. You just might see me there and if you do don't be scurrred to say hi... it just might get you a night of hangin with the "in crowd". Hot Chix and Real G's... we go hard!!!

Feelin "Some Type of Way"

First of all let me apologize SINCERELY for being gone so long. I take a little hiatus from time to time because for the longest I've had so much on plate. But here I am and now that I've done a recent "cleaning of my closet" both personally and professionally, it will allow me more time to chat with you guys....

Truth of the matter is I've been through hell and back in the almost year its been since I've written. Found out the love of my life was actually the love of someone elses. Attempted to be right with someone new who didn't want to be right with me. Had a life changing surgery, played match maker, rubbed elbows with some celebs (ok that part isn't unusual) and found out some folks that I thought were close to be really aren't. So if you would be so kind as to oblige me I'd like to take some time to clean up the trash from my fab lane and vent a little bit to make it the beautiful and glamorous place it should be.

Ahem *clears throats*:

Why do chicks always have crap on their minds and then won't speak on it? Never understood why a person will tell everyone else whats bothering them except the person they are actually pissed with? Keep it 100! Its really not that damn hard... it might not even be what you think. In the words of Kevin Heart "say it with your chest"! There are only 3 outcomes and when you think of it in that perspective the odds aren't really all that bad. 1) you find out you were mad for absolutely nothin. 2) You get down to the bottom of the beef and either squash it or walk away knowing the truth. 3) You get slapped for being so damn arrogant as to think you were really that important to the person you were "sub-tweeting", mumbling under your breath or rolling your eyes at.

Why in the hell do men think a woman's kindness translates to some form of weakness? Listen up jerk-off: Just because she doesn't call you an asshole to your face for thinkin she was just gonna "drop her draws cuz you sexy" doesn't mean she's not thinkin it. NEWSFLASH: WOMEN CAN ALWAYS GET LAID!! Stop confusing wanting your trfilin ass with needing you. SHE DOESN'T NEED YOU!! Oh and some women are cool with a "no strings attached" relationship. If it doesn't make you a nasty ass dude when you say it then it shouldn't make her a whore or slut when she does. Get Your Damn Life Together!

Ladies quit comparing yourself to other women. God only made one you! You are uniquely beautiful, talented, and inspirational. It is you that you wake up with and go to bed with every night with or without a significant other. My success does not translate to your failure and vice versa. DO YOU! Because no one does YOU better.

Whew... thank you so much for lettin me get that off my chest. I swear its been burnin a hole in it for a while now lmao. Also, please excuse the profanity but.. a girl had to do what a girl had to do.

Before I get outta here I wanna send a quick wave to my fellow Fab Lane Diva's gettin their "entrepreneur" on! DJ Desirez, Mz, Brownie, Adrienne "Amazon Brickhouse" (yall really need to check out her ask Ask Adrienne segment on fb), Annie Conley, and Keitha Blount.

Lets Get It Ladies...The World Is Ours!

CLASSIC~An Understatement

I promise not to hold your attention too long. I just really had to give the biggest round of applause to all the performers at the Cleveland Classic 3! Status messages on twitter and facebook only last for so long.

But for someone who loves hip-hop... I mean REALLY loves hip-hop I couldn't have asked to be entertained any better. You all were amazing, F_UP, Block Cartel, Caine, Proph The Problem Izzrael, Bravo... all of you. It was with certainty that you love your craft which made your performances so much easier to appreciate.

Although as one of the Promo Divas for the evening I spent much of time interacting with the crowd, for me, that turned out to be the best place in the house. Because once you all took the stage, I was right there, front and center. The vibe around me was intoxicating. Fans of REAL hip-hop rockin out to the incredible band but paying attention to your words...actually listening. That lets you know that you were not in the presence of rappers but you were witnessing true lyricists.

I am humbled by your ambition, your integrity to stick to the sanctity of hip-hip (and not the commercialism of it), and your own humility that allowed you take in all the support being offered you with dignity and grace. You came to perform and that was evident. If someone couldn't see that then they need to get to their nearest optometrist A.S.A.P.

Ms Cream Antoinette put her heart into providing you with hot forum in which to showcase your talents and you did not disappoint. Your guests performances, crowd interaction, and "go hard or go home" attitude allowed this hip-hop junkie to gladly get high off your supply....

Thank you.

In My Element...

Ok I know, I know, I haven't been doing a very good job keeping up with my written (typed lol) blog lately. With the working 6 days a week on night shifts its kind of hard to want stare at a computer screen after you've done precisely that all night.

However today I'm reaching out to you guys becomes I'm on some kind of weird creative high. Over the last few weeks I have been able to devote a lot of time to my craft. I have the Urban Couple Shoot goin on with my Company Camera Shy Exclusive. THEN I had the most awesome business brunch with a colleague, as well as, a good friend. Couldn't tell by our conversation that we hadn't seen each other in two years!! But thats the cool thing about REAL friends, constant verbal communication is not indicative of the ties that bind your heart...

Ok now getting past the mushy part...my meeting with her just poured gasoline on the creative fire I had been stoking. See my homegirl is a promoter and has her hands in a lil bit of everything. Of course the inevitable happened, we got to talking and now YOUR GIRL is involved in some of her projects and she in mine.

Its gonna be completely off the hook! In a matter of weeks we're talking, Urban Couple Shoot Out, Cleveland Classic 3 (its a hip-hop extravaganza), Beach Shoot (like Sports Illustrated Swim Suit edition but with CERTIFIED SILVA DOLLAS) and closing out with "An Intimate Affair" An Evening of Cocktails, Music, and Conversation to celebrate my birthday.

The jump off for all the events is July 6, 2010 at Noon on
The Fab Lane Diaries where my homegirl will be in the building with info, announcements, and all kinds of other good stuff. Its gonna be the hottest "Tip Off Tuesday" Episode of the summer.

Before I get in traffic, let me say this: Ya girl has had a very strange couple of months with people. Beginnings, endings, and some things falling in a gray area of oblivion. Through all this I'm watching myself grow by leaps and bounds and its definitely a sight to see, even for me (lol). So for those of you that are along for the ride during this metamorphosis, thank you, I love you and I will always keep you close.

For the rest of you.... Roll with me, or get rolled over!

Holla atcha Diva!!
